I have two aims with this blog. The first is to bring the fantastic Eredivisie competition to a wider audience by writing about aspects of it in English. The second is to look for examples of scoreboard journalism which refer to Dutch clubs. Coach Co Adriaanse originated this phrase in 2003 after his club AZ lost 5-1 at home to Roda JC. It means that our conclusions on a football match (or other sporting event) should not be guided by the result but by what actually happened, the content if you will. This brings in another interest of mine, luck and its role in top sport.
